Learned a lot about not so famous persons who were in Deadwood. If you are familiar with the HBO Deadwood series, this is not about their characters but you will see some familiar names and script that was interpreted differently than the series. I'm a big fan of the series and was interested in some historical happenings as I had heard some of the series characters were a combination of several real persons. The names are different but if you read between the lines, there is some similar moments to the HBO series. Excellent read.Product details

I highly recommend this authentic book!! It is Jerry Lynn Bryant's diligent Deadwood/Black Hills historical research. He was not able to put his research into book form before he died over a year ago. If you knew Jerry, then the book is priceless!!
Barbara Fifer let much of Jerry's expressive style and his dedicated research reach out and touch you. All the subject matter of this book is presented in 18 independent chapters.
Jerry is a noted Deadwood South Dakota historian. He and I shared historical roots and personal friendship for many years.
